The Aperitivo Cappelletti, affectionately referred to by locals as "Specialino," may be the oldest style of classic red bitter still in production. In contrast to larger commercial brands, Cappelletti is less sweet and boasts a delightful dry finish. It also maintains its crimson red hue with natural carmine color and retains a vinous texture from its wine base. With its vibrant and flavorful profile and bitter undertones on a traditional wine base, it makes for a Negroni or Spritz with a crisp and refreshing finish. The Cappelletti family, based just outside of Trento in Alto Adige, has been producing this exceptional aperitivo as well as other amari for generations.
